On-line Personal Searches

This is a web-based application written with ASP.NET, utilising AAL Systems proprietary System Language.

The purpose of this application is to allow any member of the public who has registered with the authority to go to a specific computer terminal and process a personal search.

The authorised user enters the address of the property to begin. The system then utilises the authority's corporate Land and Property gazetteer to get the correct address and geographical boundary and displays the map and boundary for confirmation.

On confirmation, the system searches a number of pre-defined geographical databases and returns the responses appropriate to the property. All results/details of the search are preserved for future reference.

Full security is built in to the procedures so that the system can pass the required information through authority's firewall.
