e-volutionGIS is the family name which covers components for building a GIS
infrastructure which can deliver virtually all the services a corporate, sharing
organisation requires.
- integration of existing mapping systems
and applications using them.
- GI metadata systems to control the
integration (and even start it off).
- web-based services to deliver organisation
wide information economically.
- internet based gateways to deliver services
to external clients.
- components for clients to integrate into
their own web sites.
- components for clients to build
comprehensive GIS applications.
e-volutionGIS components themselves are integrated - each component can join
others to form a comprehensive solution, growing organically as services become
needed and resources allow.
This has the effect of reducing costs - as you add more services, you use
previously installed components which you are not re-charged for.
AAL Systems have supplied local authorities and the Ministry of
Defence for many years and over this period it has become clearer that these
organisations wish for a better financial "deal" with suppliers than the
restrictive practices forcing organisations into "supply" and "maintenance" and
"support" contracts.
At AAL Systems we believe the time has come to offer organisations
products which can be bought and installed pretty well like a word processing
package - off the shelf.
We will charge you once for the product.
For example, we charge £500 for the complete Metadata package. It is then yours
to customise and manipulate how you wish.
If you require on-going support, you will find our charges
enlightening.
Pricing our products this way, many clients would find their budgets for GIS, data integration
and data distribution
being better than halved.
Contact us if you don't believe this.
e-volutionGIS components employ the following technologies
- evoGIS "engine" and evoGateway run on MS
operating systems. In "server" mode, servicing
intermediate processes, they are best
installed as COM services on a server with
good
access to the data.
- all database connectivity by components is
through an ODBC
link, so almost any
common database product can be
accommodated.
- application specific packages require MS
operating systems (we have some Symbian
components for certain mobile phones)
- web based services can be provided for most
internet
hosting environments.
